Sunflowers in bloom

A few months ago, Abby and I planted some sunflower seeds. We weren't sure if they'd produce but last week we got our first bloom. Only one flower is all we got but it's beautiful and big! Abby was so proud of her sunflowers she wanted her picture taken. :)

19 weeks and counting...

Getting a bit bigger....19 weeks now! I've been feeling good with the exception of the usual tiredness now and then. Having some troubles sleeping now. I told Dan in a few months he's going to need to help me roll over while in bed. I seem to move all the time! :)

I'm not sure how much weight I've gained. Actually I prefer not to know but know that it's all for the baby. And just so you know...we are having a boy!

Thanks to my little photographer-in-training (yep, it was Abby) for taking Mommy's picture!

Oh baby!

In case you haven't heard yet, we are pregnant again! Yay! This pic was when I was 13 weeks pregnant and I'm now just shy of 19 weeks. (I'll get another pic up soon). All my nausea and vomiting has subsided and I so have some of my energy back. Seems like I'm always on the go with an active 3 year old...not enough nap time like before. :)

I am due in December and we are thrilled about our newest little Aldrich!

Tomato frenzy

Most of ya'll know that we love planting veggies and herbs in our backyard garden back in Texas. So when we moved we just had to get another garden going! We used our green thumbs and went to work one weekend a few months ago. We planted three types of tomatoes...roma, celebrity, and grape tomatoes. Then we planted our herbs...cilantro, dill, thyme, basil, oregano, and oh, I forgot a few jalapeno peppers!

It's been great cooking with all our wonderful herbs and the tomatoes are coming out of our ears! Luckily we all love eating them and we've made some delicious hot sauce and spaghetti sauce that we've stored in mason jars.

Abby loves going to "pick" her tomatoes off the vine and just pops them in her mouth like candy! :)

Proud of her tomatoes she helped plant this season!

Now, these are three times as high!

Getting to work!

She loved helping out!

Swim lessons

During the month of June, Abby participated in swim lessons on base. This was her second year of swim lessons and she did great. She's mastered most of the basics and loves being in the water. I have found that she does alot better when i am not in the water with her. She takes direction from her instructor better than from mommy! On the last day of classes, she put on her lifejacket and (sorta) jumped off the 8 ft. ledge! Yay, Abby! Of course, I forgot my camera that day. She loves the water and we plan on spending alot of time in the pool over the summer.

Waiting for her lessons to begin...

Practicing blowing "bubbles"

Learning to float on her back

Trying to get her head back in the water while floating

"bobbing" in the water three times...she finally got her face wet!

Jumping off the 3-4 ft. ledge!

She's mastered the ladder too!

What a catch!!!

While in Missouri, over Easter, we took Abby out for her first fishing experience! She was sooo excited! She's been wanting to go fishing for a while now. We bought her a pink fishing rod, a pink tackle box and she also picked out her own bait...take a guess, they were pink! Of course we used the good stuff...nothing like a container of worms to get you going. Abby didn't care for those she wanted her pink bait on the line! :)

After finding a spot on Lake Springfield, we set up camp and had so much fun. Abby caught her first fish on her first throw in! Seriously! She was soooo excited. We didn't catch anymore after that but I am glad she was able to catch her first fish while out that day.

Her first fish...a perch! All she did was stare at it!

Getting ready for the next one...

Our little fisherman (er..woman)

A favorite pic of mine...just them two!
