It's fishing time!

Look at that smile!!

She was soooo excited!

About two seconds after this pic was taken she yelled and the poor perch fell to the ground.

Doesn't she looked enthused with her bait, Nightcrawlers!

Daddy Bob enjoying some fishing.

Abby enjoying the scenery.

Another fish!

She was scared of this one too...she screamed shortly after this pic was taken.

Some of my scenery shots...notice the kayaker and a paddle boarder.

Beautiful fall colors!

Over our long weekend in Springfield we managed to squeeze in some fun fishing time one afternoon. The weather was so nice so how could we resist a day out enjoying some family time! Abby caught 3 fish and seemed to be having a fun time. But all of a sudden she seemed scared of holding her fish! What??? That's never happened before but she didn't even want to touch it. Silly girl! I did manage to get some good shots of her before she would yell and drop the poor perch.
This was our second visit to Lake Springfield and I must say, all the fall colors on the surrounding trees/shrubs was beautiful. I took some great "nature" photos as well. Don't worry, they won't be calling me for a job working for National Geographic but it was fun shooting the beautiful scenery.

Pumpkin Patch in Missouri

Our family...soon we will add one more!

Running through the mums...they were gorgeous!

Great photo ops!

Ha, look at that pose!! Sassy girl!

having fun...:)

Even Daddy got in on the fun...:)

Measuring nearly 3 1/2 feet tall!!

Going home with our treasures....all of this, along with 3 more big pumpkins, only set us back $24! What a bargain!

This past weekend we made a trip up to Missouri to visit the inlaws one last time before the baby arrives. We spent one morning at the pumpkin patch in Republic, Missouri (a short drive from Springfield). What fun we had! They had soooo many pumpkins (very reasonable priced I must say) and lots of photo ops! We managed to get a great family fall picture and brought some pumpkins home with us. I just love FALL and all the fun activities that go with it!

First day of school

Ready for preschool!

Had to take a pic of her backpack!

Abby with her teacher, Ms. Lacy!

Abby and mommy

Okay so I just now realized that I did not post anything about her first day of preschool...boo, I'm a bad mom. Well to fill you in she is attending 3 year old preschool this year and has loved it so far...been going for nearly a month now. She goes everyday and has made many new friends. I'm so happy that she's happy and enjoying herself while also learning how to write. We are looking forward to fun filled school year!

First Soccer Game...

Abby had her first soccer game on Sept. 18th. She was very excited and couldn't wait to get her uniform on. Well, I should of tried on the shorts before the day of the game because they were huge on her. Didn't have time to run up to Academy and get another pair so we made do.
We arrived early since parking was going to be an issue and found our field. Abby and her friends took to the field like pros and began to warm up. It was cute seeing them in all their uniforms!
Dan was able to run on the field with them and help them stay on track. For their first ever soccer game they didn't do too bad. They all seemed "too nice" and didn't want to take the ball away from the other team. Ha! We will have to work on that. We did score a few goals but are still learning the basics of the game. With 3 year olds it is quite a fun site to see them kicking the ball around!
Go Abby!

We have to show off her number too...#40

Doing some practice drills...

Look at her go!

Phoebe, Abby and Nixon...ready for action!

Getting some last minute tips before the game!

Abby helping score a GOAL!

Ready to take a much needed break...it was HOT!

Abby played against her friend, Anna's, team...their friend, Sydney, came along to cheer for both of them~

First Team Aldrich practice

Go Team Aldrich!

Listening to Coach!

Abby got upset over something so she went off to "sit it out"....

Walking off to "pout"....

Go ABBY!!!

We had our first Team practice last Thursday. It was a hot evening but we managed to make it through. We have 5 three-year-olds on our team: Abby, Phoebe, Billy, Nixon and Peyton. It was interesting to see them all together and try to get the "basics" down. But they did remember the number one rule: NO HANDS! :) Coach Aldrich (aka Daddy) did a great job as well. He is a great coach and the kids had a great time at practice.

Our first game was this weekend and I'll post pics soon!

Cowboys Stadium

The following day after the Rangers game we stopped at the new Cowboys Stadium. Wow, it was enormous and state of the art! We were able to go in and check out the Pro Shop and buy a few things. They did have tours available and we thought about doing it but we already were running behind schedule on going to the Ft. Worth Zoo. Besides, tickets for the tour were selling out fast and we'd have to wait about 2 hours before the next tour began. So, next time we said.

If you ever get a chance you have to stop by the stadium! We had such a great time and were just in awe of how big it is! And if you have the $$ then go to a game...we can't afford it; the cheap seats ( I already checked) were $140!! A person!

Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Tx

Dan checking out Tony Romo's jersey...then putting it down since it cost $250!

Very cool TV's that were inside the mirrored glass!

They had TONS of Cowboys gear!!

Abby and Tom Landry!

Dan couldn't believe the size of the stadium...neither could I!

People waiting for their stadium tour!

See ya next time!
