County Fair

This past weekend we enjoyed having my parents over and taking them to the annual county fair. This was Abby's third visit to the fair and she wanted to try out the rides. We weren't too sure how she would react so we figured we'd "watch" a few of them and see what she thought. She wanted to ride the "boat ride" all by herself! This was the first time she has been on a ride by herself without Dan or myself. Being the mom that I am, I was a little hesitant at first. I didn't want to be "that" mom that shouts, "STOP!" then go grab their child from the ride. Well, Abby loved it! Then she rode the "race cars" and the "piggy train." The piggy train was her favorite..she rode it 3 times! Dan and I also took turns riding the merry-go-round with her. She had a blast. My parents, along with Dan and I, really enjoyed watching Abby have so much fun on the rides.

After a fun night (and plenty of Purell wipes!!!) we made our way home. Thank you Mimi and Papa for coming to visit. We had a wonderful weekend!

She loved this ride!
This one too...rode it 3 times!

Just look at that smile!

What a cutie with her Daddy!

Panama City (part 2 of 3)

Here are some more pics from our trip to Panama City. We sure did love it there and hope to return sometime soon. Abby has been asking about the beach lately....she knows we are going on a trip soon (moving). I think she would like to go back! Us too!

Thought this was a fun idea!

Bigger closet?????

I have been going through Abby's closet recently to start packing away some summer clothes. Since we are moving in a month and a half I was thinking wow, all of these clothes will be packed away. And then I stop and realize...WOW, she has ALOT of clothes! :) I love shopping for Abby (Dan can verify that for me!) and so do her aunts and grandmas! She is such a girlie girl and loves dresses and bows. And don't forget shoes! She must get that from her mommy..:) Abby's collection of shoes are growing but you know, a girl's gotta have matching shoes to her outfits! You know what I mean, ladies!

In our new house, I'm hoping for a larger closet! :)

Visit from Auntie M and Uncle Will!

Auntie M, Abby and Uncle Will

Happy Birthday Marissa!

Abby snuggling up with her Auntie M!

This past weekend we celebrated my sister, Marissa's, 33rd birthday! We have not seen my sis and brother-in-law in quite some time so it was nice for all of us to get together again. Abby loved having her Auntie M and Uncle Will come visit! She made sure she gave them a tour of her playroom and her bedroom. She had so much fun having another playmate for the weekend! :)
Abby wanted to make some special cupcakes for Auntie M's birthday. Abby sure is a great help in the kitchen. She helped me crack eggs and stir the batter. She was also in charge of making sure the cupcake liners where in place and adding the "special sprinkles." She did a super job! We enjoyed some delicious grilled burgers and hot dogs Saturday night too! We sure did enjoy their company and Abby already misses them. We love you guys!

September means FOOTBALL!!!

Gig'em Aggies!

Our little Aggie!

Ready for Aggie football!

Showing me her jersey at Chick-fil-A

As most of you know, we are huge football fans. So it only seemed appropriate that this past weekend we donned our favorite jerseys and watched some good ol' football! Abby has her own Aggie jersey, which she wore, and now yells, "touchdown" everytime someone scores. She can even put her thumb up and say, "Go Aggies!". Dan is thrilled beyond words that his little Aggie is so excited about football season too!

On Monday, Labor Day, we wore our Aggie gear to our local Chick-fil-A and received a free chicken sandwich! We saw many fans donning their gear and it was nice to see the huge crowds that showed up for the event. Abby even saw her friend, Kinsley, with Mommy (Melissa) and Leah in tow! Way to go Melissa with her Spurs shirt!!! :)

After a long football weekend, we did manage to squeeze in a new paint job in our kitchen. It came out a little darker than we orginally planned but I still like it.

Back to School

First day of school

Running to her classroom! She was excited!

Yesterday was Abby's first day back to preschool, or otherwise known as "big girl school." She was very excited about her first day that she woke us up at 5:15am wondering if it was time to go already! After finally getting her back to sleep, for another two hours, we started out with a yummy "first-day-back-to-school" breakfast. She was ready to head out the door with her new lunchbox and backpack. All the way to school she kept naming all her friends in her class. She has the same class from last year, with the exception of one new boy. Once we arrived she was ready to see her new teacher and friends. In fact, she was running to the front door! Talk about excitement!

After a brief hesitation she was in the door and off to her classroom. After finding her cubby and putting away her backpack and lunchbox, off she went. She was happy and playing. It made it much easier to leave her for the day and enjoy my mommy time too. I think this is going to be a wonderful year for her!
