Wurstfest

Well, I'm finally able to post some pics from our outing to Wurstfest earlier this month! We had such a wonderful time this year. My parents were up here as well so we had the chance to take them out there. What fun we had! Abby loves to dance and as soon as the music started she was ready to go onto the dance floor! My poor husband, he was worn out. :) Enjoy the pics and check out the video at the end!

Farewell Dinner

On Sunday, November 1st, our wonderful church friends hosted a farewell dinner for us at the Gruene River Grill. It was such a wonderful evening of laughter, love and friendship. Dan, Abby and I have grown close to our church family and feel blessed to have such wonderful friends. We will surely miss them and love them dearly. Also a big thank you for the beautiful Gruene Hall artwork they gave us as a farewell gift. Thanks to the Carden's, Gately's, Yutzy's, Tuckness', Beito's, Pastor Ken & Marilyn Peters and Pastor Lynda Dinsdale for attending!

New posts and photos to come!

I'm sure you are all wondering what happened to my weekly posts...well, we've been in the process of moving. We are now living in Shreveport/Bossier City and it's been quite an experience. Watching the moving van load up our belongings was quite something. Hard to believe everything fit in it! Abby liked having the large 18 wheeler parked in front of our house. :)

We made the 7 1/2 hour drive in one day and were exhausted...Abby only napped for 15 minutes the whole trip!

We are enjoying our new city. I have managed to drive around without getting lost. :) Abby has been adjusting quite well and we are starting to get back into a routine. The past two weeks have been a bit crazy. I hope to find a nice park soon so Abby and I can enjoy the gorgeous weather that Bossier City has to offer.

I will post some pictures soon!

Miss you guys,
Denise

Happy Halloween

Checking out her loot!

With Mimi and Papa...she was excited!

Getting ready to go trick-or-treating

Our little Snow White princess :)

This was Abby's first time to trick-or-treat and she seemed to get the hang of it. We only went to a couple of houses on our block and she had a great time. My parents were in town visiting so it was an extra special Halloween. We didn't have as many trick-or-treaters this year but it was a fun night!

Where in the world is Abby?

Riding the train

Loving the merry-go-round with Daddy!

Riding the circus train...her favorite!

Posing with the camels

She loved the steer!

How creative!

She didn't want to get off Mr. Rooster!

Did I mention this was her favorite ride???

If you guessed Shreveport, Louisiana then you were right!! We went up there this past week for a house hunting trip and managed to squeeze in a morning at the State Fair in Shreveport. There was so much to do and the kiddie rides were the best selection I have ever seen. Of course, Abby must of been in "train mode" that morning because that's all she wanted to ride. They had three trains and she rode them over and over. We tried to get her to get on the boats, teacups, airplanes but nope, she only wanted to ride the trains. :) We had a wonderful morning and even saw some elephants, camels, giraffes and zebras! And of course we couldn't leave without eating a super delicious corndog, lemonade, and kettle corn!
