The Yuckies

I have to blog about this...the yuckies. What more can I say except that I want them to leave us alone. I want all of us to well for once and not on antibiotics, allergy meds, eye drops, etc. I just want good health (NOW) with our family.

Today I had to take Seth back to his ped. dr. for another visit. Friday night he got sick with high fever. lots of congestion, coughing. He was miserable. He nor I had much sleep and it's been a rough few days. He received another shot of antibiotics today and his ear and throat are looking better. I just can't believe how sick he got so fast. And what's worse is he's not even 2 months old and has already had lots of meds. :( It makes my heart break to see him so miserable and know that I can't do anything else but hold him and hope that he gets better really soon.

Its been a rough few nights as I mentioned and we are in need of some good sleep. Let's hope in a few weeks we will be done with the yuckies.

Today's fun

I was reading a friend's blog recently and I noticed she is entering a daily post of her everyday adventures with her two wonderful boys. I can't remember if I have ever entered a "what we did today" post. So that got me thinking...why don't I do that every now and again. We sure do have some fun and interesting days with two kiddos now. Not that it wasn't interesting and fun before with Abby, now don't get me wrong. But life with two kids is VERY different. Thinking back when it was just Abby I had time to rest, eat and hey, even take a shower! Now, ugh I'm lucky if I get a shower much less eat a balanced meal. Does jello count as a food group? Oh and did I mention it takes about 20 minutes for us to get loaded into the car! Don't get me started on trying to grocery shop with a newborn and a 4 year old...just imagine my friends.

So here it goes, today's fun adventures with Abby and Seth!

The whole family (with the exception of Dan) was sick over the Christmas holidays. Poor Abby immediately was stricken with a bad cold which turned into a sinus infection within days. In a nutshell, 1st round of meds didn't work so now she's on her second dose. So we've been home ALOT these past few weeks and since it's been cold most days we've been inside. So today, Abby decided she wanted to "build" a vehicle to carry her friends to Sunnyside Day Care (hence, Toy Story 3 here!) So she decided to build her minivan with totes and her dress up chest. She has a wonderful imagination! We brought down several of her friends and loaded up for their road trip.

Once everyone was loaded up she hopped into the minivan and made sure that the DVD was on. Now how funny is that. I guess you probably guessed by now that we have a minivan with a DVD in it. :) They had to watch Dora of course.

Kit Kat (aka Hello Kitty) was allowed to ride shotgun! No one else...just her. Wow, she sure is special. I asked her why only her and her response, "because mommy, it's Kit Kat"...well there you go!

So off they went to Sunnyside with all their gear! It was fun and I have to say I ended up pushing her around the living room so they could "move" on the road. What a workout! And oh yes, we had to have potty breaks of course!

While all this fun was going on our sweet Seth was fast asleep. He's an angel and considering all the noise we were making he didn't wake up at all. :)
What a fun day we had and I look forward to what fun tomorrow or the next day might bring!

While I was home recovering, Dan took Abby to see the Disney Princess' on Ice show. They went to the show on opening night and had great seats. They met up with our close friends, Claire and her daughter, Sydney. Dan told me that Abby had such a wonderful time and that the show was fantastic. She stood most of the time and danced alot.By looking at the photos I know they both had a wonderful time and was sorry to miss it. I did enjoy my resting time and bonding with baby Seth.

Okay, so I know it's January and I'm just NOW posting Thanksgiving pics. :) gotta catch up! We had a wonderful Thanksgiving this year. We were very blessed with what God has given us this year and we had lots to be thankful for...particularly, our sweet boy, Seth. We enjoyed a delicious feast of turkey, dressing, green bean & corn casseroles, cranberry fluff, and all the trimmings. We had Dan's parents over for the holiday and we enjoyed spending time together. We even managed to get our Christmas tree up before they left and made our annual baked goodies. That included prune buns and our peanut butter log! :) And Miss Abby even wore the special dress her Aunt Deb gave her..it was adorable!
