Welcome Seth Ryan

On November 15th we welcomed the newest member of our family...Seth Ryan. He was three weeks and 2 days early and weighed 5lbs 14 oz, 20 inches long. He immediately melted our hearts and big sister Abby just adores him. After three nights in the hospital we took our precious boy home. He is absolutely perfect! God is good...

A few weeks ago we had a wonderful family outing to the State Fair in Shreveport. This was our second year to attend and it such a beautiful day to enjoy. The sun was out and the weather was just perfect. What a difference one year makes too...Abby really enjoyed the carnival rides! We met up with some of our friends and Abby rode the rides over and over again. She had a blast and her $10 wristband for "all you can ride" was well worth it! We plan to make this an annual family event!

Mickey Live!

Getting in some dance moves before the show!

Abby loves Cinderella!

look at all those bubbles!

Yep, it's Woody and Jessie from Toy Story!

There's Miss Abby (second from the left) dancing with the characters!

This was the finale...shooting confetti into the audience! It was really cool!

Abby with her souveniors...a Cinderella pennant, a coloring book, and a program. Yeah, that only set us back about $25!!

The day before Halloween we took Abby to see Mickey's Rockin' Road Show at the CenturyTel Center. We've been looking forward to this for months and would you believe we had two other activities planned all on the same day. We were busy going from one thing to another but we had a super fun time!

We were able to score some really good seats and the show was fantastic! Lots of singng and dancing. Towards the end of the show Abby even went up front to the stage and started dancing with all the characters! She was having a blast!
We are looking forward to her next show...Disney Princess' on Ice in December. She'll get to go with her daddy for that one. :)

Halloween

Princess Belle

Abby and Ms. Ann

Our pumpkin pizza from Papa Murphy's!! Yum!

At our church trunk-or-treat!

Making her rounds along the parking lot.

She got LOTS of candy!

Ready to go trick-or-treating on Halloween!

Posing with our blowup pumpkins...this was a hit in the neighborhood!

Our carved pumpkin this year!!

I know this is a past due post but I'm trying to catch up...so far behind. This year for Halloween Ms. Abby decided to be Belle from "Beauty and the Beast." She was able to wear her costume three days in a row. First for her Fall party at school, secondly at our church trunk-or-treat, and third for Halloween. She also had to have her "princess" accessories! Every princess needs a crown and her wand, why of course!
On Halloween she did go trick-or-treating at a few neighbor's houses' and then she was ready to call it quits. She was not interested in sitting outside with me while I passed out candy...too afraid of the kids w/masks. But all in all we had a fun weekend. We had a pumpkin pizza and even got to carve our pumpkin!

It's fishing time!

Look at that smile!!

She was soooo excited!

About two seconds after this pic was taken she yelled and the poor perch fell to the ground.

Doesn't she looked enthused with her bait, Nightcrawlers!

Daddy Bob enjoying some fishing.

Abby enjoying the scenery.

Another fish!

She was scared of this one too...she screamed shortly after this pic was taken.

Some of my scenery shots...notice the kayaker and a paddle boarder.

Beautiful fall colors!

Over our long weekend in Springfield we managed to squeeze in some fun fishing time one afternoon. The weather was so nice so how could we resist a day out enjoying some family time! Abby caught 3 fish and seemed to be having a fun time. But all of a sudden she seemed scared of holding her fish! What??? That's never happened before but she didn't even want to touch it. Silly girl! I did manage to get some good shots of her before she would yell and drop the poor perch.
This was our second visit to Lake Springfield and I must say, all the fall colors on the surrounding trees/shrubs was beautiful. I took some great "nature" photos as well. Don't worry, they won't be calling me for a job working for National Geographic but it was fun shooting the beautiful scenery.
